Titan Group’s Compensation Services provide clients with the expertise to help them determine the "right" amount to pay employees, thereby increasing the client's ability to attract and retain employees while leveraging critical financial resources. We benchmark job data, create and update salary structures, evaluate salaries, and ensure that fair and equitable compensation is distributed as determined by the market.
Job Market Pricing
Titan Group works with clients to define their compensation strategy and market positioning for all employee groups. Once defined, we compare their jobs with the best available market data in order to determine how compensation compares to desired market position.
Executive Compensation
Titan provides competent consulting on Executive Compensation issues. We believe that process is the key to arriving at a strategy that meets the goals and objectives of the business, as well as the expectations of participating executives.
Whether it involves stock-based incentives, short-term or long-term incentive programs, non-qualified deferred compensation plans, or other benefits, our process begins with a diagnostic assessment and moves through financial analysis, plan design, implementation and, if appropriate, account administration.
- Strategic Assessment — We help our clients develop and clarify objectives determine peer competitiveness, and align the concept with overall compensation and benefits strategy.
- Tactical Analysis — We help our clients determine participant group and level of benefits, select a plan design and key provisions with non-qualified deferred compensation, decide whether the benefit will be funded through company contributions, employee deferrals or both, understand legal and regulatory compliance issues, measure the accounting impact with non-qualified deferred compensation, and examine funding alternatives.
- Installation and Implementation — We help our clients document the plan and communicate the plan to participants. If the plan is to be funded, we assure that the proper vehicles are in place and, if necessary, provide for ongoing administration and reporting.

Compensation Surveys
Titan Group provides custom compensation surveys, conducted on either local or regional levels, to ensure that the client is providing competitive pay for key jobs. Titan has sponsored the only Richmond-based compensation survey since 2001 and is currently the provider for the annual VaSHHRA Healthcare Jobs Compensation Survey and the 2009 Roanoke Regional Compensation Survey.

Intermediate Sanctions - Reasonable Compensation Analysis
Non-profit organizations are required to comply with IRS Intermediate Sanction guidelines set forth to ensure reasonable compensation is paid to executives. Titan Group experts determine reasonable compensation levels and render an opinion letter and supporting documentation. Wtih the new Form 990, the IRS requires additional information surrounding the process of compensating executives. Titan Group can guide Tax Exempt Board members through this process.
